Saw the hype from a foodie YouTuber and decided to check this place out - was not disappointed at all! I ordered twice a week apart, both times take out. Here's the scoop: First takeout order: Seafood black bean noodles - the reviews are HONEST! They give well over two pounds of noodles. Kept separately from the sauce. Spicy noodle soup - same deal, same amount of noodles, absolutely insane! Each noodle order is enough to feed a hungry person twice or split at least three ways. A couple mussels, a few calamari (wish there were more) and a couple shrimp Sweet and sour pork - highlight of the order! It's a generous portion, and honestly my favorite sweet and sour sauce. Most Americanized Asian restaurants will use the ridiculously sweet red sauce that looks like liquidated Maraschino cherries. Here, they make their own and it's got noticeable vinegar kick for the sour and it's a transparent sauce with pineapples, tomatoes and onions. Really good and highly recommended. The sauce is kept in a separate container from the pork, which is deep fried with a great crunchy shell. Additional sides were added free of charge - pickled radish, raw onions, and kimchi. Let me just rave about the kimchi for a sec - I've tried kimchi before and HATED it. The smell, the texture and the taste were all off. This place has made me devour kimchi! Absolutely love it from here. ---- Second takeout order: Sweet and sour pork - not as good as the first time, the pork was on the drier side. I think it's the cut of meat used and not over frying. However, still tasty with the sauce. Pork fried rice - this was good! Made with egg, peas, carrots and thin sliced pork. Reminds me of homemade fried rice. Chicken yakisoba - SUPER delicious! Fragrant, well sauced and plentiful. Definitely worth the 11 bucks for the amount and quality. Kiddo approved too! I had requested extra kimchi and asked if they sold it as a side order but to my pleasant surprise, an ample extra amount was added free of charge! Please go support this amazing local restaurant - the owners are so kind and the food is no frills and delicious!

This restaurant has the best jjajangmyeon and they make their own black bean sauce (in house) and I really enjoy the unique flavor. There's pieces of pork and onion in the sauce. With the seafood jjajangmyeon there was shrimp and lots of pieces of squid in the dish. It was delicious and the noodles and seafood were all perfectly cooked. The pork gyoza (part of the combo) was perfectly cooked(crispy on the outside and yummy filling on the inside) The portions are huge, especially for the price. I had so much leftovers. The platter of sweet and sour chicken had good flavor, but the breading was a little bit much. I've heard great things about their sweet and sour pork though! The customer service from the waiter was amazing and one of the best service I've had in a long time. He was so so nice and really attentive. He dropped by our table multiple times to ask if we needed anything. The waiter was constantly refilling our tea cups and the pickled radish/onion which was so nice

Such a great spot for Korean comfort food! I tried the jajangmyeon and jjampong and both were delicious and comforting. Like everyone else has mentioned, the portions are huge making it a great value for your dollar. The meal also came with side dishes of onions and pickled radish, which added a nice palate cleanser. The owners are kind and attentive. It can get busy due to the limited seating so I recommend going before the dinner rush. Parking is super easy to find. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for comfort food without the Seattle prices!

Update: We came in to dine-in for dinner and got the Sweet & Sour Chicken, Fried Dumplings, and Jajangmyeon! Despite being extremely busy, we were taken care of the entire time. The portions for what we paid for were phenomenal and tasted amazing! As they're growing very popular, have patience with the business owners and it'll be a wonderful experience! Would love to see them expand their store, as it's a popular local spot for Korean-Chinese food!

Love the portions here. We ordered the special platter jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and the sauce was good but the noodles itself was alright! We asked for it to be vegetarian bc our guests couldn't eat Pork. Next time we will have to try with meat. Beef fried rice and Orange chicken was my favorite, spicy chicken was very similar to this so I would have known to try something a bit more different. Overall really good value so can't complain. The kimchi tasted like it was made in house, highly recommend this for a casual family dinner. We came on a Saturday after Mikey chen posted that YouTube video so it was about an hour wait lol. The owners were doing their best though!

I ordered the jajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce) and it is amazing. For 9.99 you get an insane portion and the flavor is there too! I had to put the noodles and sauce into a pot because I don't have any bowls big enough to mix the whole thing. The service was phenomenal. The restaurant is owned by the husband and wife. The wife welcomed me in so warmly. Since my order was to-go, she gave me tips on how to reheat the noodles so they won't get squishy. The ambiance is great. Nice and calm, perfect for dining in at any time! I highly recommended this place

My bf and I had Korean-Chinese food on our trip to Korea a few months ago and have been on the hunt to get jjamppong and kkanpunggi at home. After some research, we found Sahm Gook and gave it a try. To our surprise, we ended up liking the food a lot, but more importantly, the older woman serving us was so sweet. We ordered the kkanpunggi and half and half combo of the black bean noodles and jjamppong. Highlight was the kkanpunggi. Portions were large and we were given the option of ordering chicken wings or boneless chicken. The sauce was garlicky with a good mix of it being savory and sweet. The black noodles and jjamppong were really filling, but could have used a bit more flavor. I was surprised to see a decent amount of seafood in the jjamppong. It's criminal how large the portions are and how inexpensive it is. I almost feel guilty for dining here. This is a must visit if you're wanting Korean Chinese food.

Definitely a bang for your buck. Big portions for everything. But the taste is a little lacking for me. Service was extremely friendly. They are accepting dine in now.
